2.6 Nitrogen and Compressed air lines

Nitrogen is used to vent the instrument and to reduce the speed of turbo pump in venting process. The pressure for the nitrogen line is about 0.5 bar on the pressure gauge of the utilities. If there is an overpressure in the nitrogen line, a security valve will open to reduce the pressure.

Compressed air is used to open and close the different valves.

The outlet pressure should be between 5 and 7 bar. There is no safety with the compressed air, so please carefully verify the pressure on the manometer of the line before doing any action on the instrument.
