3.1 Preparatory steps

Before launching the bake out process, a certain number of items must be checked:

  1. Verify that the thermostats are in direct contact with the body (no washer which could bias the temperature reading).

  2. Check the general arrangement of the strip heaters on the body (good homogeneity, properly applied to the body).

  3. Verify that no wires touch the body. For this, use cable ties to keep them out of reach of the body.

  1. Secure the area all around the machine so that no one is in contact with it during the baking. To do this, place protective barriers all around the machine.

  2. Ensure that the two baking circuit breakers on the vacuum bay and on the two RACs are activated.
