6 Tuning software
This chapter describes the dedicated Windows-based Tuning control application used for controlling, calibrating, and optimizing the CAMECA IMS 7f-Auto instrument hardware and presets:
- 6.1 The Tuning Panels Description: Tuning main menu bar, Synoptic panel, and High Voltage (HV) validation dialogs.
- 6.2 The preset boxes: The standard preset box: Standard preset pad architecture, primary beam presets, raster, e-Gate, and moving apertures.
- 6.3 The preset boxes: Apertures and Mass: Mass calibration, centering functions, aperture assignments (D0, D4, CA, FA, Ent, Ener, Exit slits).
- 6.4 The preset boxes: The detector box: Detector preset pads (Slit, Image, FC, EM), zoom presets, and auto-tuning routines.
- 6.5 The “Beam Position” and “Area Position” boxes: Global shift corrections for primary beam and max area presets.
